Privacy Policy

Izara (“we,” “us”) sends a personalized morning email based on your birth chart, your calendar and your goals. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email izaraapp@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address, and optionally your first name and sun sign.
- Your account (beta and later): your name, email, birth date, birth time and birth place, your current time zone, the time you want your email, and up to five goals.
- Google Calendar (only if you connect it): read-only access to the events on your calendar, used to write advice for the day's events. We never create, change or delete calendar events.
- Email activity: whether our emails were delivered and opened, and which links you clicked, so we can tell whether Izara is actually useful.
- Feedback: anything you tell us through replies, ratings or surveys.
How we use it
- To calculate your birth chart and the day's astrological transits to it.
- To write and send your morning email, and to send service messages like your waitlist welcome.
- To improve Izara, using your feedback and overall usage numbers.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Google user data
Izara's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only request read-only access to your calendar events.
- We use calendar data only to write your own daily email. To do that, the titles and times of that day's events are sent to our AI writing provider (Anthropic) together with your chart details; the provider processes them to write your email and does not use them to train its models.
- We do not use Google data for advertising, do not sell it, do not use it to train AI or machine-learning models, and do not let humans read it unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it's needed for security, or the law requires it.
- We keep event details only as long as needed to send that day's email.
- You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from your Izara settings or from your Google Account permissions.
Who helps us run Izara
We share data only with the service providers that run Izara for us, and only what each one needs:
- Supabase — stores our database.
- Vercel — hosts the website.
- Resend — delivers our emails.
- Anthropic — writes the text of your daily email.
- Google — calendar access and place lookup for your birth city.
- Stripe — will process payments if you subscribe in the future. We never see your full card number.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Keeping it safe
Data is encrypted in transit, calendar access tokens are stored encrypted, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run Izara.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it.
- Update your details or goals any time in your settings.
- Ask us to show you or delete your data by emailing izaraapp@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your birth details, goals and calendar connection.
Children
Izara is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll email you before the change takes effect.
